September 13, 2000 School Received Cash Boost for New Play AreaChildren at Alvenley County Primary School are getting a new play area, thanks to a cash donation as part of Chlor-Chemicals Landfill Tax Credit Scheme.The £3,000 was awarded as part of a government backed scheme which encourages communities to undertake environmental improvement schemes within their locality. The money will be used to provide a new netball court as well as a bark chipped playing area complete with climbing frames and small equipment.
