Help for Local School Grounds Improvements

INEOS Chlor and Cheshire Wildlife Trust are continuing their successful partnership to provide grants to schools in north Cheshire and Halton for the improvement of schools grounds.

This week a cheque for £3000 was handed over to Daresbury CP School, Daresbury Village. The money, which was generated under the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme, will be used to improve the school facilities.

Children and staff were actively involved in the development plan and every effort has gone into an attractive design which improves safety in the playground, provides essential quiet seating areas and incorporates soft landscaping. Aspects of the national curriculum have been incorporated in the design which will aid th eteaching of sports skills, natural science, maths and language work.

Cheshire Wildlife Trust work in partnership with INEOS Chlor to evaluate schemes put forward for consideration by local schools.
