INEOS Chlor Recognised for Outstanding Safety PerformanceINEOS Chlor's Runcorn Site has been recognised for its outstanding safety performance with the achievement of a Diamond Safety Award. The award is presented by the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) to companies who can demonstrate year on year excellence in safety performance. To qualify for the Diamond Award, Runcorn Site had to attain a Safety Award for ten consecutive years for meeting tough safety targets. INEOS Chlor was one of only 18 manufacturing sites in the UK to achieve Diamond Award status this year. Steve Yee, Business Safety Manager, said: "This is fantastic news. Everyone here at Runcorn Site works very hard to ensure that we operate a safe site and this award recognises these efforts and demonstrates that Runcorn Site is a safe place to work." In April of this year INEOS Chlor at Runcorn
Site celebrated achieving 2 million working hours without a reportable
injury to employees and is hoping to reach 3 million in the next
few weeks.
