LOCAL CHEMICAL COMPANIES SPONSOR FRODSHAM CARNIVALLocal chemicals producers INEOS Fluor, INEOS Chlor and EVC have joined forces to sponsor the main event at this year's Frodsham Carnival. The Medieval Day, taking place in the town centre on Saturday 11th September, culminates a week of festivities. It will feature vivid re-creations of the Legend of King Arthur and A Tale of Richard the Lionheart, set against a backdrop of a 75ft wide castle and authentic Medieval tent. Chairman of the carnival's organising commitee, Brian Lloyd, said: "It really will be a fantastic day. There'll be lots of audience participation, with children being dressed up as squires and knights and there may be the odd village maiden!" "We're really grateful to INEOS Fluor, INEOS Chlor and to EVC for giving us this money, enabling us to put on such a fantastic event for the visitors." A spokesperson for the companies said: "Being based in Runcorn and Helsby we like to support good causes within our local communities, which is exactly what the Frodsham carnival is. It's the second year that we have been able to sponsor it and we're thrilled with the number of people who turn up and really get into the spirit of things."
