INEOS CHLOR GETS IN THE FESTIVE SPIRITLocal chemical company INEOS Chlor is getting in the festive spirit by donating Christmas hampers to schools in the Borough. Nine schools in the area have each received a hamper containing mouthwatering goodies. Comments Janet Ward, INEOS Chlor community relations manager: "This is something we do each year as it provides the schools with an excellent raffle prize for the various fundraising activities they undertake at this time of year." Comments Phil Sweeney, who received a hamper on behalf of Weston Primary School: "We're delighted to receive the hamper from INEOS Chlor. We'll be raffling it off at our school Christmas play". Staff at INEOS Chlor are also raising money for ChildLine Merseyside by making a donation to the charity rather than spending money on Christmas cards. Last year ChildLine helped nearly 4,000 children and young people who were in danger or distress during the Christmas period.
