WORKERS IN THE PINK FOR CHARITY

Workers at INEOS Chlor's Runcorn site were 'in the pink' recently raising money and awareness for the Breast Cancer Campaign. Over £850 was raised on a day of fundraising activity for the national charity, which funds vital work into breast cancer research.

The money was raised as part of a nationwide 'Wear it Pink' event run by the charity, with workers at Runcorn paying £2 for the privilege of wearing an item of pink clothing for the day. Money was also raised from the sale of cakes and raffle tickets.

Comments Sue Cookson, from INEOS Chlor: "Staff at INEOS Chlor have been raising money for this charity for the past three years. We're delighted to be able to support the work of the Breast Cancer Campaign, as this disease affects one in nine women in the UK".
