INEOS Chlor Modern Apprentices Flying HighNine engineering trainees are celebrating this week after successfully completing a three-year apprenticeship with Runcorn based chemical company INEOS Chlor. The trainees, who were fully sponsored by INEOS Chlor, received their Advanced Modern Apprenticeship Awards at a special ceremony in Chester, hosted by Sir Bobby Charlton. Brian Turner, INEOS Chlor Training Manager, comments: “We’re thrilled to see the apprentices receive their award after three years of shear hard work. We are delighted to support young people through the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme, which equips them with the skills they’ll need for a challenging career in the chemical industry”. The trainees completed two years of skills training at TTE Training Ltd, Ellesmere Port to gain an NVQ and BTEC National Certificate before spending 12 months working in core maintenance teams across INEOS Chlor’s Runcorn and Northwich sites to complete their Engineering Maintenance NVQ Level 3.
