INEOS CHLOR DONATES A DIGITAL CAMERA TO LOCAL YOUTH CLUBLocal chemical firm INEOS Chlor has supported the Runcorn, Frodsham and District MENCAP Link Youth Club by donating £250 to buy a digital camera for use on their recent 'Great Adventure' and in future activities. The club provides meeting opportunities for young people between the ages of eleven and nineteen years who have a learning or physical disability or personal circumstances, which result in a degree of educational exclusion. The group recently embarked on 'The Great Adventure', which saw some of the club members spend a week away, which included a stay on a canal boat and a full programme of activities such as keeping a ships log, arts and crafts and even being skipper! Executive Committee Member Ralph Owen, said: "INEOS Chlor kindly agreed to donate the digital camera so that we could capture some of the memorable moments of our 'Great Adventure'. The pictures we took were used in a presentation evening that took place recently and the kids and parents were delighted with the photos. The beauty of this donation is that we will be able to use it at future events and this is invaluable." Janet Ward, INEOS Chlor Community Relations Manager, said: "Its great to be able to support the youth club with this donation and we know it will make a real difference to their club. We are really keen to support organisations that promote social inclusion and this particular club does this really well."
