SAFE WORKING REWARDS CHARITYSafety conscious workers at INEOS Chlor’s Runcorn Site have marked the end of a safe period of working by donating £500 to national charity DebRA. The money was raised by workers from INEOS Chlor, O’Hare and NSG who were rewarded for every day they worked without an injury or environmental incident during a recent plant overhaul. The workers were given the chance to nominate a charity, and selected DEBRA to receive their donation. Stephen Yee, INEOS Chlor safety manager said: “Safety is a number one priority for everyone who works at Runcorn Site. I’m delighted to see that employees from all three companies have carried out their duties in such a safe manner and we are only too pleased to be able to recognise their efforts by making a donation to the charity of their choice.” DEBRA UK is a national charity working on behalf
of people with a rare genetic skin blistering condition known as
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). There is no known cure for the disease,
which currently affects around 5,000 people in the UK. Nell McAndrew,
Louise & Jamie Redknapp, Sir Henry Cooper and Anthea Turner
are some of the high profile celebrity sponsors of the work of charity. ENDS For further information please contact the INEOS Chlor Press Office: Craig Welsh |
