INEOS CHLOR WINS TOP SUPPLIER ACCOLADE

Runcorn based chemical company INEOS Chlor has won one of the UK chemical distribution industry's premier awards for excellence and outstanding achievement. The company was honoured with the accolade of 'Supplier of the Year 2005' from the British Chemical Distributors and Traders Association.

INEOS Chlor picked up the award, which is judged on a number of criteria including quality, on-time deliveries and customer service, at a special awards ceremony in Leeds attended by more than 280 companies from across the UK.

Said Tom Crotty, CEO INEOS Chlor: "I'm thrilled to receive this award on behalf of INEOS Chlor. This achievement is shared by everyone who works at Runcorn site. The chemicals we make are used by almost 90 percent of UK manufacturing and we supply more than 2,000 customers."

This most recent award for INEOS Chlor follows on the back of the Mersey Partnership Inward Investment Award, which was presented to the Company last December in recognition of its £390 million investment in Halton.
