INEOS CHLOR PROVIDES THE TECHNOLOGY TO UPGRADE FINNISH CHEMICALS' CHLOR-ALKALI PLANT AT JOUTSENO, FINLANDINEOS Chlor is providing the technology to upgrade the 75,000 Te/annum chlor-alkali plant operated by Finnish Chemicals at Joutseno in Finland. Finnish Chemicals is a long-term customer of
INEOS Chlor, using its original membrane cell technology FM21- HP
when the plant was constructed in 1984. This upgrade secures the
long-term future of the chlor-alkali plant and is part of Finnish
Chemicals' ongoing investment strategy. Jyrki Mäki-Kala, Fine and Speciality Division
Director of Finnish Chemicals said: "We are pleased to up-grade
our plant using INEOS Chlor's technology. We have a long term relationship
with INEOS Chlor and value their ongoing technical support and customer
