INEOS CHLOR SUPPORTING YOUNGSTERS IN SPORT

Runcorn based chemical manufacturer INEOS Chlor is delighted to be involved with a scheme that is providing Halton toddlers with their first taste of sport. INEOS Chlor has provided funding for Halton Farnworth Hornets ARLFC to run their toddlers summer school.

Around 20 toddlers aged between 4 and 7 are attending the summer school that is running through the summer months to help introduce youngsters to sport, in particular rugby league. The school is in its second year and the kids are benefiting from expert tuition by qualified coaches.

Said Ian Yates, Halton Farnworth Hornets Club Secretary: "This kind donation from INEOS Chlor has been essential in helping us to provide the youngsters with specialist equipment such as training balls and belt tags for playing non contact rugby league. The school has grown in popularity and we hope that this first experience will encourage the children to continue with this sport."

Said Janet Ward, INEOS Chlor's Community Relations Manager: "We are delighted to be able to support the toddlers summer school as introducing children to sport at an early age can bring many benefits, both now and later in life."

The summer school is continuing throughout the summer months and it is hoped that this activity will continue in future years. For further details about the school contact Ian Yates on 0151 424 7212.
