WEST BANK BEARS ON THEIR TRAVELS

West Bank Bears Under 8's have recently traveled to Scarborough - not for the fayre but for a weekend of fun at a rugby academy, thanks to the support of two local chemical companies.

INEOS Chlor and EVC are supporting the bears by providing all 19 players with training tops that were worn during the tournament.

The Bears were invited to enter the competition along with other teams from across the country where they took part in competitions, and played 4 matches over the weekend. They made such an impression, that they have been invited to Yorkshire to play against the Normingdon Knights.

Jill Galligan, spokesperson for West Bank Bears "This was an important opportunity for the team to learn new skills and to develop their team spirit. We are delighted that EVC and INEOS Chlor could help provide us with this much needed kit."

Said Jill Wilkinson from EVC: "We are always keen to support local sporting clubs, and we hope that the team enjoyed their experience in addition to learning new skills and making lots of new friends along the way."

West Bank Bears and their families, who come from both Widnes and Runcorn, attended the tournament over the weekend of 22nd April.
