NEW ENTRANCES FOR MARSHALL'S ARM NATURE RESERVE, NORTHWICH
Action Weaver Valley and Vale Royal Borough Council have commissioned two new entrances for Marshall’s Arm Nature Reserve thanks to funding provided by INEOS ChlorVinyls.
Students from Hartford High School have been working with Manchester artist Tracey Cartledge on the project. Their initial ideas have been translated into a stunning design which is currently being made at Luke Lister’s forge in Stockport. The students are tracking the project from the design stage right through to production. Next on the agenda is a visit to the forge and a chance to do some hands on activities.
Workshops for the second entrance are underway and the project is set to be unveiled in June 2009.
If you would like to find out more information about this project, please contact Ann Bates, Action Weaver Valley Co-ordinator, e-mail a.bates@merseybasin.org.uk.
