Emulsion (Paste) PVC

INEOS ChlorVinyls is a manufacturer of Paste PVC with a capacity of 110 kilotonnes per annum. Production is based at our operations in Porsgrunn, Norway and Stenugsund, Sweden.

Thanks to its versatility, Paste PVC (which is commonly referred to as P-PVC or E-PVC) is used in a wide range of applications. Paste PVC finds its principal end use in the home, where it is used to make flooring and wallcoverings (accounting for some 50% of the market). The other half is spread among consumer goods, artificial leather, industrial and automotive applications, coated fabrics, gloves, sealants, conveyor belts and foams.

Western Europe is a major source for Paste PVC worldwide - generating around 40% of global trade. Global consumption is estimated at around 2.1 million tonnes with Western, Central and Eastern Europe accounting for 35% of this. The global growth of Paste PVC is expected to range from 2% to 3% annually over the next 5 years.

Our PEVIKON range of Paste PVC has been developed to cover all the major application outlets and also the more niche areas of gloves, fine printing, thin and coil coating applications that require more specialised fine grade resins.

Application and technical support is a key cornerstone of our business development with customers.

INEOS ChlorVinyls is committed to reducing the impact of its operations on the environment. Under the aegis of the European Council of Vinyls Manufacturers, the Company signed the E-PVC Industry Charter that sets demanding targets to minimise total VCM emissions to air and discharges to water from emulsion PVC production plants.

Both our Paste PVC plants are accredited with Quality & Environmental certificates and conform to ISO9001, ISO14001 and EMAS standards.
