VCM/ Suspension PVC

VCM/S-PVC is one of the largest businesses of INEOS ChlorVinyls. Our VCM and PVC resin facilities are located on large integrated manufacturing sites in Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The production capacity today stands at 1.6 million tonnes of VCM and 1.5 million tonnes of Suspension PVC. VCM is produced principally for use within INEOS ChlorVinyls.
Suspension PVC is the most common type of PVC resin and is used for both rigid (unplasticised) and flexible (plasticised) applications. The principal users of S-PVC are the Profile and Pipes/Fittings sectors, with close to 50% of the market. Other construction related sectors account for another 10%. It is used in window frames, drinking water and gravity pipes, bottles, food and pharmaceutical packaging, cable insulation, automotive and domestic appliance components, and medical applications such as tubing and blood bags.
INEOS ChlorVinyls is established as a pan-European company and builds on this strength by working in close collaboration with multinational customers. To allow maximum efficiency, our supply chain management is co-ordinated from three centres, thereby enabling us to respond rapidly and flexibly to individual customer requirements in each of our principal markets. Our asset set-up with five VCM sources and seven S-PVC plants across the three main regions, provides a supply security and flexibilty no other producer can match.
Providing effective technical assistance is also vital to establishing strong relationships with our customers. This enables us to create improved formulations and new products through joint development projects.
