INEOS ChlorVinyls - Runcorn Site Environmental Performance Report 2003

INEOS ChlorVinyls publishes an annual Environmental Performance Report covering aspects of its safety, health and environmental performance at Runcorn Site, UK.

Summary

1. In 2003, overall there was a significant reduction in Minor Injuries (this category includes all cases of first aid reatment, however minor).
2. Classified Injury performance (those injuries that require more than first aid treatment) for employees was much improved and there was only 1 Reportable Injury during the year.
3. Earlier recognition of stress-related symptoms has reduced the ill-health effects of stress amongst our employees.
4. During 2003 we continued to make good progress to reduce our releases to air and water.
5. The number of site incidents remained low, none of these gave rise to action by the regulatory authorities.
