About the INEOS Site Community Forum

The INEOS Site Community Forum was originally set up in 2002 to encourage open and honest dialogue between the INEOS businesses at Runcorn Site and the local community.

The Forum was set up in accordance with the Chemicals Industries Association's 'Stakeholder Engagement' Policy and underpins our commitment to community involvement.

The Forum is administered jointly by the INEOS businesses at Runcorn Site - INEOS ChlorVinyls and INEOS Enterprises. We meet once a quarter to discuss matters of mutual interest to the businesses and the local community.

To encourage a more flexible approach to working we do not take minutes at each Forum meeting, but we do keep an action log that is reviewed at the start and end of each meeting.

Membership of the Forum consists of 10 elected resident members who represent people from the six electoral wards that are covered by the Public Information Zone for Runcorn Site - these are Mersey, Heath, Grange, Beechwood and Halton Lea wards in Halton, and Frodsham ward in Cheshire West & Chester. Also on the Forum are local representatives from the Environment Agency, Halton Friends of the Earth, the Emergency Services, Halton Borough Council, Cheshire West & Chester Council and local schools.
