Community Support & Charitable Giving
As a socially responsible company, INEOS ChlorVinyls undertakes community support
and charitable giving in the communities in which we operate across Europe.
The information below provides you with some simple guidelines that
should help you to decide whether your initiative or charity may
be suitable for support.
INEOS ChlorVinyls will normally only consider applications for support
from organisations that are pursuing objectives of direct benefit
to people who live or work near to our operations.
Types of Support
We generally offer two types of support:
- community support for projects organised jointly within the emergency services, local
authorities and registered community organisations.
- charitable donations or other contributions to registered charities.
Funding Guidelines
We aim to support projects
and initiatives that:
- foster communications with our Company
- provide a positive contribution to the improvement of the
environment
- promote safety in the workplace, home or outdoors
- make a positive contribution to promoting good health,
well being and social inclusion (eg. sporting groups/healthy
eating campaigns)
- are conducted alongside the emergency services including fire, police
and ambulance
- support local authorities or other such government associations
- contribute toward a reduction in crime or fear of crime
- are closely associated with the chemical industry and
science education
- promote local community spirit.
Organisations working in the following fields
will not normally be supported unless they demonstrate
a strong link with one of the categories listed above:
- arts initiatives including music, drama, literature, dance
- construction or renovation
of buildings
- service charities
that use smaller charities for the distribution of their funds.
INEOS ChlorVinyls will not support:
- religious bodies and organisations
- any political party
- national charities
or other initiatives unless they benefit local people.
We aim to provide maximum benefit from our support
and therefore target groups/organisations and charities rather than
individuals.
